Questions?
Being the largest Superman fan in the world, I know the answer to every question anyone might have about him. So I started this page to answer those questions. Below are questions I have been asked frequently. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].
What would happen if Superman got too close to the sun?
-It all depends on how long he's there. If he goes there and goes right back, not a lot will happen. He might be immune to kryptonite for a short period of time, but if he is there for a long period of time, he could become overcharged, and potentially die. (proven in All-Star Superman).
Can you name every form of kryptonite?
I sure can.
Green Silver
Red Hybrid
Blue Pink
Black Krytponite X (Kryptisium)
Gemstone X Kryptonite
Gold White
Jewel Orange
Anti-Kryptonite Slow
Magno-Kryptonite Bizarro Red
Periwinkle
Can you tell what they do?
That depends, am I the world's largest Superman fan?
Green - Weakens him.
Red - Turns him evil.
Blue - Strips him of his powers (Only while he is around it).
Black - Splits him into two different people, one good and one evil.
Gemstone - Whenever he says to do something they do it.
Gold - Strips him of his powers permanently (if he is within two feet of it).
Jewel - Gives people in the Phantom Zone mind control powers over the people in the "real world".
Anti-Kryptonite - Like green Kryptonite for non-superpowered Kryptonians.
Mango-Kryptonite - A magnet for all Kryptonian people and objects.
Periwinkle - Makes Superman "fabulous", having him want to dance and where "fabulous" clothes, ect.
Silver - Makes him paranoid.
Hybrid - Like green Kryptonite for humans.
Pink - Turns him homosexual.
Kryptonite X (Kryptisium) - Filtered Kryptonite, for a quicker kill than green Kryptonite would do.
X Kryptonite - Gives temporary powers to humans.
White - Kills all plant life.
Orange - Gives temporary powers to animals.
Slow - Like Anti-Kryptonite, only a stronger effect.
Bizarro red - Like red Kryptonite for humans.
If he grew up in New York City rather than the farm in Kansas, how would he be different? Personality wise or just the general characteristic?
Finally, a tough question. I thought about this quite a bit. Really, it all boils down to who finds him. The reason why Superman is the Superman he is is because of his adoptive parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent. If he were found by anyone else, he would have grown up differently and therefore be different. If he were to land in New York City rather than Kansas, it would all vary on A) where he landed, and B) who finds him. If he were to land in the outskirts of NYC, where there's not a lot of people to witness the landing, he probably would have either been found by good people (so his life probably wouldn't be very different) or bad people (so his life would be completely different). Take an episode of Smallville for example. In season ten, one of the episodes had Clark twisting a Kryptonian object called a mirror, which basically takes you to an alternate reality. In that episode, instead of being found by Jonathan and Martha, he was found by Lionel Luthor, father of Lex Luthor. Lionel trained Clark to be a killing machine (Lionel even trained Clark to kill his own son).
If Kal-El were to land in the middle of NYC, then it would be completely different from landing on the outskirts. NYC is a big city, lots of people everywhere all the time. If someone were to see a huge spaceship coming towards Times Square, the government would get involved. If the government gets a hold of him, they are going to figure out his strengths, weaknesses, and everything in between. (Lor-Zod is a great example) Superman would probably become a robot for the government. But the moral: it all depends on exactly where he lands and who finds him.
